​Empowering Pharmacists for a Better Healthier Future
​On the occasion of World Pharmacist Day, which is observed on September 25th of each year, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Nile University is pleased to extend its highest expressions of congratulations and appreciation to pharmacists in Sudan and around the world. This is in recognition of their continuous efforts and active contributions to safeguarding human health, enhancing the quality of health care, and advancing pharmaceutical services.
​This year’s celebration is held under the theme “Empowering Pharmacists for a Better Healthier Future,” affirming the pivotal role of the pharmacist in the modern healthcare system as an essential partner in delivering healthcare, ensuring the safe and rational use of medicines, raising health awareness, contributing to disease prevention, and improving therapeutic outcomes for patients.
​The profession of pharmacy is no longer limited to preparing and dispensing medications; rather, it has become an advanced scientific and professional field where pharmaceutical knowledge integrates with pharmaceutical care, scientific research, pharmaceutical industries, pharmacovigilance, pharmaceutical supply management, and health education. This necessitates investing in the qualification of pharmacists, developing their professional and research capabilities, and enhancing their participation in health decision-making to keep pace with rapid scientific and technological developments and meet community needs.
​Stemming from its academic and societal mission, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Nile University affirms its commitment to preparing qualified pharmaceutical cadres scientifically, professionally, and ethically—capable of keeping abreast of developments in pharmaceutical sciences, contributing to the advancement of pharmaceutical practice, producing knowledge through scientific research, and providing services that contribute to community service and enhance pharmaceutical security.
​We also affirm the importance of partnership and integration between faculties of pharmacy, healthcare and research institutions, and relevant authorities, as well as working to provide a stimulating educational and training environment for students, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, and professional values that qualify them to be the pharmacists of the future and leaders in advancing healthcare and serving humanity.
​In Sudan, the role played by pharmacists gains even greater significance amidst the challenges facing the health sector, where the need stands out to enhance the sustainability of the pharmaceutical supply, ensure the availability of essential medicines, establish the rational use of medication, and support health, research, and educational institutions. At the Faculty of Pharmacy of Nile University, we highly value the efforts exerted by pharmacists in their various workplaces, and we salute their resilience, dedication, and devotion in performing their humanitarian and professional mission despite circumstances and challenges.
​As we celebrate this global occasion, we renew our commitment to supporting the profession of pharmacy, enhancing the status of the pharmacist within the healthcare system, encouraging research and innovation, and establishing a culture of quality and professional responsibility—believing that investing in the pharmacist is an investment in human health and the future of society.
​May pharmacists be ever more giving and distinguished each year, and may the profession of pharmacy continue to advance and impact the building of a better, healthier future for all.

اليوم العالمي للصيدلي

تمكين الصيادلة من أجل مستقبل صحي أفضل

بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للصيدلي، الذي يوافق الخامس والعشرين من سبتمبر من كل عام، يسرّ كلية الصيدلة بجامعة النيل أن تتقدم بأسمى آيات التهاني والتقدير إلى الصيادلة في السودان وجميع أنحاء العالم، تقديرًا لجهودهم المتواصلة وإسهاماتهم الفاعلة في حماية صحة الإنسان، وتعزيز جودة الرعاية الصحية، والارتقاء بالخدمات الصيدلانية

ويأتي الاحتفال هذا العام تحت شعار «تمكين الصيادلة من أجل مستقبل صحي أفضل»، تأكيدًا على الدور المحوري للصيدلي في المنظومة الصحية الحديثة، باعتباره شريكًا أساسيًا في تقديم الرعاية الصحية، وضمان الاستخدام الآمن والرشيد للأدوية، وتعزيز الوعي الصحي، والمساهمة في الوقاية من الأمراض وتحسين النتائج العلاجية للمرضى

إن مهنة الصيدلة لم تعد تقتصر على تحضير الأدوية وصرفها، بل أصبحت مجالًا علميًا ومهنيًا متطورًا تتكامل فيه المعرفة الدوائية مع الرعاية الصيدلانية، والبحث العلمي، والصناعات الدوائية، واليقظة الدوائية، وإدارة الإمداد الدوائي، والتثقيف الصحي. وهو ما يستدعي الاستثمار في تأهيل الصيادلة، وتطوير قدراتهم المهنية والبحثية، وتعزيز مشاركتهم في اتخاذ القرارات الصحية، بما يواكب التطورات العلمية والتقنية المتسارعة ويلبي احتياجات المجتمعات

وانطلاقًا من رسالتها الأكاديمية والمجتمعية، تؤكد كلية الصيدلة بجامعة النيل التزامها بإعداد كوادر صيدلانية مؤهلة علميًا ومهنيًا وأخلاقيًا، قادرة على مواكبة المستجدات في العلوم الصيدلانية، والإسهام في تطوير الممارسة الصيدلانية، وإنتاج المعرفة من خلال البحث العلمي، وتقديم خدمات تسهم في خدمة المجتمع وتعزيز الأمن الدوائي

كما نؤكد أهمية الشراكة والتكامل بين كليات الصيدلة والمؤسسات الصحية والبحثية والجهات ذات الصلة، والعمل على توفير بيئة تعليمية وتدريبية محفزة للطلاب، وتمكينهم بالمعارف والمهارات والقيم المهنية التي تؤهلهم ليكونوا صيادلة المستقبل، وقادةً في تطوير الرعاية الصحية وخدمة الإنسان

وفي السودان، تزداد أهمية الدور الذي يضطلع به الصيادلة في ظل التحديات التي تواجه القطاع الصحي، حيث تبرز الحاجة إلى تعزيز استدامة الإمداد الدوائي، وضمان توافر الأدوية الأساسية، وترسيخ الاستخدام الرشيد للدواء، ودعم المؤسسات الصحية والبحثية والتعليمية. وإننا في كلية الصيدلة بجامعة النيل نثمّن عاليًا الجهود التي يبذلها الصيادلة في مختلف مواقع عملهم، ونحيّي صمودهم وإخلاصهم وتفانيهم في أداء رسالتهم الإنسانية والمهنية رغم الظروف والتحديات

وإذ نحتفي بهذه المناسبة العالمية، فإننا نجدد التزامنا بدعم مهنة الصيدلة، وتعزيز مكانة الصيدلي في المنظومة الصحية، وتشجيع البحث والابتكار، وترسيخ ثقافة الجودة والمسؤولية المهنية، إيمانًا منا بأن الاستثمار في الصيدلي هو استثمار في صحة الإنسان ومستقبل المجتمع

كل عام والصيادلة أكثر عطاءً وتميزًا، ومهنة الصيدلة أكثر تطورًا وتأثيرًا في بناء مستقبل صحي أفضل للجميع
