A message from the Academic Secretary
The Academic affairs officers dial with all aspects of students’ registration, students’ examinations.
The University Regulation facilitates the affairs of students from abroad. The examination units organises and coordinates examination resources and supervision to gather with faculty departments and course coordinators.
We will be glad to be of service to students’ parents and relatives.

About Examinations

Examinations are held twice a year.
The student will be able to sit examinations in one or perhaps several of these sessions, depending on the programme registered for.

Exam conduct and writing the examination

The student will see a time table notice at least 2 weeks before the examination all students are advised to familiarise themselves with the registration and examination regulation.

Examination entry/ Deadlines

  • Follow the instructions below to enter for examination. You can also find the entry deadlines for entering the examination hall.

In case of

1.    Sickness
: Students should report to the student’s health service during the working house.
2.    Absence
: with acceptable reasons should be reported by students immediately
3.    Late for exam time
: The regulations do not allow students to enter examiner halls 30 minutes after the start of the exam.
4.    Re correction
: Application for re-correction of a paper should be submitted not more than 72 hours after the announcement of the results.

Examination results

  1. Results will be released on the dates listed in the results release dates (Open in new window).
  2. On the date of announcement, the student will receive an email containing a link to the results through the website students page.

Finance Rules

Registration & Tuition Fees:
  1. Payment of registration fees is due on admission.
  2. For first year students, 100% of the tuition fees are to be paid within 7 days of Registration.
  3. Full fees for second year and above should be paid within two weeks at the beginning of the academic year.
  4. Students will receive ID cards upon completion of registration and payment of the tuition fees.
  5. A student who does not have a valid ID card will not be permitted to attend classes & will be considered absent.
  6. Candidates who do not clear their dues within the specific periods, and those who are absent for more than 25% of classes will not be eligible to sit for the end-of- semester on final examinations.
  7. Fees paid are non-refundable after two weeks of registration.
  8. Fees for certificates and any other documents are non-negotiable.

Excellence Benefits

  1. Nile University offers a limited number of full scholarships for the outstanding students with the Sudan certificates who apply before the announced closing date.
  2. Partial scholarships are allocated upon application, not later than the closing date announced by the University.
  3. Other scholarships offers are subject to the scholarships committee decisions:
  • 50% scholarship: for best 2 students who scored an aggregate of 90% and above for Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy.
  • 50% scholarship for the best 2 students who scored an aggregate of 85% and above for other faculties.

Discounts & Grants

Nile University offers discounts for applicants based on the following criteria:
  1. Sibling Grants: 15% for two siblings registered in the same academic year and 25% for one who has a brother or sister in an advanced year.
  2. Death of guardian: In the event of the guardian’s death while studying, the student are granted a 50% reduction in tuition fees, provided that authentic documents ae presented.

University Teaching Staff and Employees:

A discount is granted to the children of fulltime teachers and employees at the university as follows:
First child 75%, second child 50% and third 25% discount. Such grants are suspended if the employee resigned from a Full-Time contract with the University.
  • The Committee for Scholarships and Fees Reduction has discretionary powers according to regulation.
