Message From The President
To those who were promoted to higher classes, I have a word of advice, specifically for the ones who just made it. I know you can do better. It is sad to have one or two supplemaiies is difficult but having more is hard and needs will, determination and effort to overcome The results of the exams, despite the difficulties of the pandemic and civil unrest, were better than expected; thanks to the efforts of the academic, administrative and supporting staff.
It is towards this goal that we need to guide our behaviour, our appearance, our dress, caring for our health, caring for others and our society and country at large.
So please take care of yourselves during difficult times. Your health is of paramount importance for achieving your goals and the hopes of others who care for you.
More specifically, it does no good to follow people who use or peddle drugs. These individuals are like cancer that will destroy their surroundings and eventually prove fatal. Smoking and dressing in various unusual ways will attract such cancerous people to you- so be careful.
I wish you a happy and successful passage through the various stages of your studies; your participation in extracurricular activities and community services is desired and commendable.
A final word for those who just joined NU, and for some who have not set their goals yet. You do not study to pass examination; you study to achieve the goal of what you WANT TO BE in society in the profession, in the whole world.
These goals will determine what is important and what is trivial and what should be avoided. I hope every one of you will have a goal and work for it.Together we will achieve our aspirations.Wishing you a successful study and promising future

Nile University, EDUCATIONAL VISION
Since its inception, Nile university adopted the moto of QCCC, standing for
QUALITY, COMPETENCE, CONFIDENCE, and CULTRURE
These are words that are not randomly selected. They are loaded with deep meaning that concerns every individual contributing to, or at the receiving end of the educational process.
Quality is meant to remind us to be meticulous in our choices.
Not to be satisfied with second best in our work environment or practices. To always strive to improve things and not be satisfied with keeping the status quo. To always look far and beyond our limited circles for innovation and better practices. To keep abreast with the latest and most successful and relevant to further our goals.
Competence is meant to remind us to be good at our profession.
That means to “do the right thing and to do it right”. This entails gaining of the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes that make an effective and reliable professional. These are usually spelled out in the educational outcomes of the educational programs.
Confidence reminds us that strength of personality in positive ways, matters.
The graduate who has no confidence in his knowledge and skills, and who cannot take the right decision at the right time is no use to himself or to others. Hesitant professionals fail themselves, those around them and society, especially when they are in leadership positions. One of the important functions of university education is to produce leaders, not only in their professional capacity, but also in governance and politics.
Culture reminds us that education has width as well as depth.
Professional education and training are not enough, neither to the profession nor to society. A graduate who cannot see beyond the concerns of his profession is not expected to contribute much to the growth of society or country. Width of knowledge and social experiences give another dimension to the responsibilities of university education.

Sudan Culture
Taking into consideration the different background of students, this course offers students opportunities to gain insight into the impact of both ancient and modern histories of the Sudan on shaping the value systems of Sudanese society. To appreciate & respect the cultural diversity of Sudanese communities and to relate to geographical, socio-economic & cultural diversity and to be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of Sudanese society. To quote examples of the contribution of Sudanese scholars & artists to national & international heritage. To recognize the effects of environmental , socio-economic & cultural factors on human activities and on health & disease.
Community Service
Community service activities are both institutional and student lead programs.
The institutional, briefly stated is taken care of by the Higher Administration of the university. In this regard the University offers scholarships for students with good grades coming from less privileged homes. For this purpose, a philanthropic organisation (FAID ELNEEL) was set up by the University Leadership. This organisation also contributes to clean water supply and health services in addition to education.
Students’ activities take the form of expeditions offering various health related services. A case in point is the Red Sea State expedition in which some 80 students participated, under the supervision of faculty and staff. (see illustrative material)

Alumni
Nile University boasts over 2000 graduates in various disciplines. We would like to think students graduate IN the University rather than FROM it. Steps have started to form the Alumni Association, however this was interrupted by the recent evets. We believe the Alumni Association is now more relevant than ever.
