Student's Association
NU Students’ Societies
Societies are established according to the following rules:
- The society should consist of at least 15 students.
- The committee of the society shall be attended by the student’s affairs dean or his representative in charge of the specified activity according to the student’s association regulations.
- The society should be registered at the students’ affairs office, after obtaining the approval of the College.
- Formations of Associations or societies or any other organization, on ethnic, geographical or tribal identity are prohibited.
- All societies shall observe university rules and regulations in their activities and have to declare their financial resources.
International Associations
NUSA and the societies are encouraged to form relationship with similar International Bodies for exchange of services and experiences.
- Nigerian Students’ Association
The Nigerian student’s association has been active for several years. You are encouraged to join. - Egyptian Students’ Association
As the population of Egyptian Students is growing, more members are encouraged to join.
Both of the above associations have been active in students functions that included Syrian Students, Somali and others.
Students' Associations and Activities
- The student’s association is constituted in accordance with the regulations and procedures approved by the University authorities after consultation with the students
- Curricular, cultural, athletic and social activities are allowed in places specified by the Students Deanship and in accordance with the university regulations.
- Political activities of any sort are prohibited inside the university, or its boundary, walls vicinity or in any other institutions belonging to the university.
- Scientific and cultural sessions may be permitted inside lecture rooms after a written approval from the College administration, and under the supervision of the Students’ Advisory Committee.
- Where foundation procedures are fulfilled, special societies may be granted permission for performing their activities.
- Wall papers may be issued when satisfying the following procedures
- The papers and the students in charge should be registered at the students’ affairs office.
- The papers should be placed on the boards or sites specified by the University.
- The papers should abide by the general laws and University regulations and should not violate the code of conduct specified in the regulations.
- The students in charge of the papers shall be personally responsible for the material in the paper they publish without prejudice to Nile University.
- Sports Activities
Students are encouraged to join teams and competitions arranged by the students’ deanship. - Social Cultural Activities
Students’ societies, by the help of the deanship, are encouraged to conceive and carry out social and cultural activities.
